Sore knees!

Run: 6 miles. Maybe I started back again too soon... I have sore, creaking knees so I'm going to take next week off and go swimming instead. I reckon I've got a week in hand on where I should be in my training thingy so I should be OK! Anyone got any ideas about starting weights (as opposed to cardio stuff) @ the gym?

Cake: The other problem with my 6 mile route is that it's 3 miles there + 3 back and the mid point is a very nice cafe... some people might call it greed, I call it motivation! Sadly they didn't have anything I could eat, so I had Tango instead. Was it always that orange???

Rev: I don't really want them all to die and anyway, they've all gone away on holiday!

Maybe I'm too lazy for blogging!

Run: None so far this week (see title!) but I did 40 minutes on the stair machine from hell at the gym on Tuesday, 40 minutes cycling yesterday and 30 minutes on a rower today... I ache!

Cake: Big fat "it's my holiday tomorrow" cake!

Church: No one seems to want to die here, so I haven't had any funerals to do... how will I ever get enough deacon points to be priested??!?!

A day of "rest"

Cake: Rice cakes, I'm afraid. It's a rest day.

Run: None... see above! Good news is that I haven't taken ibuprofen for a week, which seems to suggest that my knees are getting better. Phew! I've been stretching and cross training (which I used to think meant running when angry!) and generally careful, so maybe I've avoided runners knees!

Rev: Sunday. Busy day. I still find it hard to remember people's names, but not faces or things we've talked about in the past. I reckon that if I'm paid to show people that God loves them, the least I can do is be interested in them!!!

We've only just begun...

Cake: A very nice coconut slice (gluten free - I'm coeliac) at a National Trust house this afternoon. The cafe was invaded by people walking through to a wedding reception, dressed in kilts. They'd clearly never worn them before, because they kept hitching them up all the time; under or over beer gut is always a question you should decide before you dress, gentlemen!

Run: 7 miles (just about, I'm not convinced by the new Map My Run page - it tries to make routes up for you) in awful weather along the seafront. I thought the weather was OK, and then I turned round to come back!

NOTE: No times for runs. I'm not either that fit, or that bothered. Having lived for 30+ years as a couch potato, any running is good running!
